Baba Ramdev was born on December 25, 1965 in Haryana. It is said that when he was two years old he become paralyzed and later was cured by practicing yoga. He studied Indian scripture, Yoga and Sanskrit. Ramdev founded Divya Yog Mandir Trust in 1995. In 2003, Aastha Tv began featuring him in its morning yoga slot. 4 . MORARI BAPU
Morari Bapu is a renowned exponent of the Ram Charit Manas and has been reciting Ram Kathas for over fifty years throughout the world. The overall ethos of his Katha is universal peace and spreading the message of truth, love and compassion. Morari Bapu was born in 1947 in the village of Talgajarda close to Mahuva in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. He spent most of his childhood with his grandfather and guru. Most of the time, his grandfather shared with him his knowledge of Ram Charit Manas. Bapu had memorized the full Ram charit manas at the age of 12 and by the age of 14 he started to sing it. Bapu travelled many countries Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil and Australia.
5 . SWAMI AVDHESHANAND GIRI
Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of the Juna Akhara, is a guru to thousands and an inspiration to millions. Swami was born in a Brahmin family. He had no interest in playing with toys. He remembered his previous birth and shared these with his family. In college he was staying as a paying guest with local monks who performed rituals and pooja. When the priest had a busy schedule they allowed him to performed pooja on their behalf and take dakshina. One day he performed worship with knowledge and good command over the spirit of the rituals that the Principal was overjoyed and offered him Dakshina. After some time he left the worldly life and went to the Himalayas in search of gyan.
6 . SRI RAMESH BHAI OJA
Sri Ramesh Bhai Oja popularly known is as Bhaishri. He was born on 31st August, 1957 in a Hindu Brahmin family in Gujarat. After early education he moved to Mumbai for further education. There he attended regularly his uncle’s spiritual discussions. By the age of 13, he showed his potential by holding a spiritual discussion on Shrimad Bhagavad-Gita. He identifies the spirituality a way of life and by spreading his knowledge he emancipated the lives of many people.
7 . JAGADGURU RAMANANDACHARYA SWAMI RAMBHADRACHARYA
Born on 14th January 1950, he is a religious leader, Sanskrit scholar, polyglot, poet, author, textual commentator, philosopher, composer, singer, playwright. He is the founder and lifelong chancellor of the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University in Chitrakoot, which offers graduate and postgraduate courses exclusively to four types of disabled students. Rambhadracharya has been blind since the age of two months, had no formal education till the age of seventeen years, and has never used Braille or any other aid to learn or compose.
8 . MATA AMRITANANDAMAYI DEVI (AMMA)

11 . SWAMI SUKHABODHANANDA
Swami Sukhabodhananda is a guru from the Bangalore area of India who is nicknamed “the Corporate Guru.” His talks and workshops combine Vedic tradition with Western management and psychological development perspectives. Swami Sukhabodhananda was born in Bangalore on 25th April 1955. At the age of 20 he was attracted towards the spirituality and devoted his life to it. He is a founder of ‘Prasanna Trust’ which focuses on aspects of meditation. The trust also runs “Prasanna Jyothi, a home for destitute children and Nirguna Mandir, a centre for meditation and learning.
12 . SWAMI NIRANJANANANDA SARASWATI
Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati was born in Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh) in 1960. Guided by his guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, from birth, at the age of four he came to live with him at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger ( Bihar ) where he received training in yogic and spiritual sciences through yoga nidra. In 1971 he was initiated into Dashnami sannyasa, and thereafter for eleven years he lived overseas, mastering skills in varied areas, acquiring an understanding of different cultures and helping establish Satyananda Yoga ashrams and centres in Europe, Australia, North and South America.
13 . SADHVI RITAMBHARA
She is a Sadhvi and a political activist, a social worker and a religious preacher. Born in Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab, she is said to have attained Nirvana when her village was visited by Yug Purush Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Paramanand Giri Ji Maharaj. She became his disciple and followed him to his ashram in Haridwar and in tours across India. She is particularly known for her narration of the Ram Katha and other Hindu scriptures in India and abroad. Sadhvi Rithambara is the co-founder of the Param Shakti Peeth, under the auspices of which the Vatsalyagram project runs. Vatsalyagram is a unique concept which is a combination of an orphanage, an old-age home and a widow-shelter, where orphaned children, the widowed and elders live as family.
14 . SUDHANSU JI MAHRAJ
Sudhanshu ji was born on 2nd May 1955 and belongs to Saharanpur. He completed his education from the Gurukul and at the age of 20 continued to learn under the guidance of a philosophy professor in Haridwar. He also got knowledge from the saints and he continued meditation practice. He established the Vishwa Jagriti Mission, on 24th March 1991 which has now 65 branches, 22 old age homes and 3 charitable hospitals throughout the world.
